Reforming Public Education
To day we watched a video created by Sir Ken Robinson about reforming public education. I thought that the video was very intesting. He talked about how we have been using the same educating system since the enlightment. The enlightement happened before the American Revolution that was over two hundred years ago. He said students should bring their own laptops to school, i agree.

Facebook Photos your delete doesn't mean "delete"
Mr. Larkin had us check out a link that had to do with facebook pictures being "deleted". The blog post was quite interesting, it was about how facebook has been storing "deleted" photos for over two years. I think it is a good idea for facebook to keep the "deleted" photos saved because those people knew those pictures should not have been on there facebook page, and they put them on anyways, so people have the right to veiw them, and critcize them for it.

Our Web 2.0 class
My web 2.0 class in Burlington Massachusetts was mentioned in an Edutopia blog post. I am very happy that people are starting to recongize us on the internet, because we have been working hard blogging, and trying to get our name out to people all over the world. Edutopia is a website sponsered by the George Lucas Education Foundation. That is a big deal for a small web 2.0 class in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Good Ways to promote blogs
Since the start of my web 2.0 class Mr. Larkin has wanted us to promote our blogs out to the world, and make a name for ourselves. a great way is to leave comments on other peoples blogs, and at the end of your comment leave your URL to your blog. You could use a website created by Yahoo that is called MyBlogLog. It lets people serch topics they like then blogs will appear, and you can add your blog to a specific topic. A good way to get the readers you have keep comming is keep producing new blog posts about two or three specific topics that they are intrested in, and also keep commenting on their blogs, or the comments they leave. Another good way is to use a website called Delicious. Delicious is a social bookmarking website that lets you put your website/blog on the web page, and if people like it they can bookmark it.
